Worship By Other Tongues
It is difficult to imagine a church in a multi-racial country like Malaysia that does not cater, linguistically, to worshiping Catholics of various races. As we all know, God hears us no matter what “tongue” we speak in, but for the thousands of Chinese-speaking and Tamil-speaking Catholics in Malaysia who are more comfortable with their native language, we have the language apostolate mission of the Assumption Chinese Language Apostolate Committee (ACLAC) and the Tamil Apostolate. These vernacular apostolate communities provide support to the parish in various meaningful ways and continue to feed back to the communities they represent with the hope, love and charity of Christ.
