The Parish Co-ordinating Council or the PCC as it is known came into effect in all parishes in the early nineties. The PCC of Assumption began with the various ministries (e.g. Hospitality Ministry, the St. Vincent De Paul Society (SVDP), Marriage Encounter, Altar Ladies etc.) and the Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) of the Parish.
Main Functions
- The planning and implementing of programmes, activities, events and functions in the parish.
- Working along with the PPC on Pastoral activities planned by the Council.
- As the entire faith community of the Parish is involved in the PCC, it also serves as a forum to discuss practical and liturgical issues that are then passed to the respective ministries for their implementation and action with the Parish Priest’s approval.
- Implementing Archdiocesan guidelines as and when informed by the PPC.
- Meets once in 2 months.
