God’s Word Reveals His Love for Us
The Bible is not the easiest book to get through. There are at least 46 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament. In addition, as it was written thousands of years ago, not all passages in the Bible are easy to comprehend when read in today’s societal context. Yet knowledge and faith are an integral part of our understanding of God Who reveals Himself through the sacred Word. Knowledge and Faith cannot do without each other. Knowledge alone, without Faith, makes us incomplete in that we “know” but do not fulfill what we know through action (of love). On the flip side, Faith is also incomplete without knowledge because Faith needs to be formed and directed in order to be fruitful.
Staying close to the Word not only ensures we understand our background and traditions, traditions that can be traced back to the first Christians. It also helps us build our intimacy with God Who desires for us to reach for Him for guidance in the noise of the material world that often distracts us from “matters of the spirit” and our true self.
The Bible keeps us grounded on everlasting truths and “riches” that last more than any gold or silver. And guides us on the lighted path Jesus has paved for us by His death and sacrifice on the cross.
The Assumption Bible Fellowship, formed in 2002, comprise Catholics who aim to share their love for, and knowledge of God’s Word and help enlighten all Catholics on the meaning behind the passages that should not be literally read and interpreted.
Our “shepherds” are here to help you embrace your Faith and the Author Who has gifted us with this legacy so you can experience God’s love for us, first-hand, through His instructions and teachings.
