Being the Hands and Feet of Jesus

The guys and girls at Willing Hands are not extraordinary at one glance. But we try to do extraordinary things for Jesus with our youth, energy, enthusiasm and God-given gifts. After all there’s no better usage of God’s power than to channel it back to love-borne activities that benefit others! Sure, we aren’t called just yet to serious and liturgical-based responsibilities like our older brothers and sisters in the PPC or PCC or, well, the Liturgical Community. But we give what we can and we try to always give them willingly.

Here is what you can expect by joining us:

1. Hard work of delivering to the needs of those who require it e.g food and sundry collections and drops (having fun is hard work too you know!)
2. Home visits to orphanages, the lonely or the sick that will change your views of Life
3. Organising of fundraising events that are not just beneficial to others but fun and spirit-building
4. Helping our parishioners become better athletes and sportspersons through games
5. Organising of camps to unlock your hidden talents and promote friendship like the popular Chamber of Secrets camp
6. Helping at other Church events from selling hotdogs during Family Day to Chinese New Year biscuits!
7. Running the occasional Coffee Morning

You may have to get your hands “dirty” and, yes, you may not even be used to doing things for free. However, experience tells us that you’ll be fully satisfied knowing you’ve just put a smile on a brother or sister’s face with the time you have given to them. And as the saying goes, that’s priceless.
