Dear Families of Assumption,
We are in the midst of Triduum, we have completed out Lenten observance for last 40 days or so, to reach Triduum. Looking back at what we have done, we may feel elated, at what we have not done, we may feel depleted. This is simply our human condition, like St Paul who said correctly, we do the very things that we dislike and the things we want to do, we are unable! And so what do we do, we will continue striving to be better even after this Triduum, and that is what we called to do.
During this Triduum, let us with Jesus celebrate the Last Supper in Service during Holy Thursday,, for He washes the feet of the disciples during the last supper….simply the Eucharist must be self-giving and self-emptying for one another, otherwise our participation in the Eucharist will be fruitless. Good Friday we will die with Jesus, we will nail with Him all our Sins, we want to be like Jesus. Holy Saturday Night…..Resurrection…..our Hope is Jesus….We don’t want to give up, we want to continue the meaning of Resurrection in our lives.
But we want to ask these questions. Who is our Hope? Is Jesus our Hope? Then we shall continue giving hope to one other, bringing hope into situations that are devoid of God.
Assumption as a Parish never fails to bring hope to those in need, we have just started ASK – Assumption Soup Kitchen, providing a good meal on Wednesdays lunchtime at our Family House. In the planning is to launch ATA – Assumption Tuition Aid, giving quality tuition voluntarily, for Stds 1-6, and special classes for form 3 and 5, Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 5 pm, any helpers and teachers please call the Parish Office. We are also helping the Migrants in many ways.
And I want to thank many parishioners, families, individuals and BECs who are seriously practising their faith in promoting this Hope, this Jesus.
A Blesses Easter
In Domino
