1] Do not post the personal information of other people in the Prayer Request board. This includes their full names, their locations or parishes, or any other personally identifiable information.
2] When asking for prayers, use the person's first name and last initial (at the most) unless the need for prayer is publicly known and does not cause scandal.
Appropriate:
- For my Aunt M. who has cancer
- For my sister Mary who is searching for a job
- For Governor Smith of Imaginary State, Country, who is facing a difficult decision
- For my priest, Fr. A, who has asked our parish for prayers for his upcoming travels
Inappropriate:
- For Mary Smith, who is considering abortion
- For my neighbor Mr. Smith and his wife Mary whose son Tom passed away yesterday
- For the priest of St. John's in Neverland, who privately shared with me some bad news about the parish finances
3] Post your prayer request for specific intentions on the relevant board.
4] Please alert us to any deviation from the above that requires moderator intervention.
